This is a plant-based oatmeal recipe. This warm cereal is so delicious. It is hearty, flavorful, sweet, and creamy. There are so many ways to customize oatmeal. You can add yogurt, nuts, seeds, nut or seed butters, fruit, and/or spices. If that sounds good to you, try this recipe. I promise you'll be making it again and again.
1 & 1/4 cups coconut water
1/2 cup almond milk
1/2 cup oats
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp plant-based butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp allspice
Add liquid to a pot on high, add everything besides oats and stir together.
Once the liquid is boiling, add oats and stir.
Bring the pot to low heat and cover.
Cook for at least 3 hours and stir occasionally.
