Lentil, Walnut, and Pecan Bootylicious Burgers

Yes, I call these burgers bootylicious because after a good glute workout, these will be satisfactory and build up your booty or whatever muscle you would like to build. These burgers are flavorful, vegan, and delicious. The texture is amazing. They can also be frozen for later use. Simply reheat in the pan or oven. They pair perfectly with my Beautiful Bun recipe.

You can also chop these burgers up and throw them into tacos or a burger salad. Your booty will thank you. The oats bind everything together, and the mushrooms provide these burgers with an amazing texture. The flavors in these burger patties are outstanding. Let’s get to it.

Ingredients:

1 ¼ cups oats

1 cup cooked red lentils

1 pint of mushrooms chopped

¾ of an onion chopped

⅓ cup pecans

⅓ cup walnuts

2 tablespoons coconut aminos

2 tablespoons olive oil (for cooking)

1 tablespoon tomato paste

2 teaspoons dried thyme

1 teaspoon dried rosemary

1 teaspoon tahini

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Blend the oats and nuts until they are ground. Add them to a large bowl.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of the olive oil to a pan on medium heat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and mushrooms, dried thyme and rosemary, and tomato paste to the pan.
  4. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes, mixing all the while.
  5. Add the rest of the ingredients to the large bowl with the blended oats and nuts. Add in the cooked mixture as well.
  6. Mix everything, taste, and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Divide the mixture into six equal parts. Form the parts into patties.
